Facilities Maintenance Technician
A global leading biotechnology organization that helps companies maximize the effectiveness and success of their R&D programs. They develop and apply informatics and high-throughput research technologies for the entire R&D process, from early discovery through development to commercialization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for mechanical maintenance on air compressors, air dryers, CDA, vacuum pumps, gas supply, HVAC and other facilities systems.
- Provide electrical support services such as, running conduit, pulling wire, installing breakers and electrical outlets for new equipment installation and or equipment relocations.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance procedures and related documentation on facilities systems.
- Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, or office fixtures.
- Provide repair, fabrication, and general labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Facilities Department.
- Operation of vehicles and equipment such as van or truck.
- Perform complex project based system upgrades and repairs with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in Facilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, equipment schematics, maintenance manuals and engineering sketches
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent customer services skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic MS office skills and familiarity with PC
- Able to work in tight spaces
- Previous experience working with compressed gasses preferred
- Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently, using good judgment, initiative and analytical abilities, anticipate likely needs, and make solid recommendations
- Valid California driver’s license
- Must be available and willing to work flexible schedules, as needed
