Programmer/Developer

We are seeking a professional Programmer/Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Participate in creating detailed technical design documents, conduct design reviews.
• Implement new product features using Javascript, CSS, HTML, AJAX.
• XML EDI Integration.
• Segment and design system layers to support componentized and layered application development, including user interface, business functionality, and database access.
• Work with Product Management, QA, and other teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.
• Develop and update product documentation.
• Adhere to release/project schedule and milestones, estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes.
• Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
• Share release management duties on feature rollouts, share on-call responsibilities
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required and MSCS preferred.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Preferred experience in hands-on Java 1.4/J2EE Platform with JNDI/JDBC/EJB/JMS and web services.
• Expert level Java J2SE, Java Swing, Java 2D, JDBC, Perl and C# (optional) skills are required with demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems.
• Hands-on CSS/HTML/Javascript/AJAX experience.
• Knowledge of Oracle 10G Database/MySQL experience a must (project, deployment).
• Deployment and administration of Weblogic & JRUN.
• Knowledge of Database performance, HTML,XML,UML is a plus.
• Ecommerce gateway & security; experience with VeriSign SDK.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a positive due to dynamic nature of discussions with other engineering and product teams.
