Senior Product Marketing Manager
We deliver complete solutions for the database business continuity needs without costly hardware or software upgrades. Using our products, an enterprise will optimize its database related operations costs, equipment capacity and system reliability/up time while focusing on its core business.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with database management, clustering, Enterprise and Load testing market. Understanding of enterprise software, database management and load testing solutions

The position is for outbound marketing activities to address BAPM (Business Applications Performance Management) and Load Testing product lines

Primary responsibility focuses on awareness and demand creation through development of product and solution messaging for multiple channels.

Key areas of responsibility include product and industry messaging, search engine product marketing, field and partner training, sales and partner enablement, product launch management, demos, and analyst briefings.

This position also includes product positioning as well as development of product marketing and launch plans, product collateral and web information, presenting to business & technical audiences, sales tool development, maintaining relationships with key partners, press, and industry analysts and creation of the content for analyst briefings and inquiry calls.

Specific deliverables include creation and maintenance of core content, serving as a key point person for awareness and demand generation activities, and supporting field enablement. Manage all aspects of the search engine marketing program including keyword mining, continual ad copy/landing page optimization, and measurement/analytics

This position will significantly contribute to the development and support of partnerships by raising solution awareness within the appropriate channels.

This person will work closely with Company Sales and Product Development by collecting and communicating customer needs and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years in the computer industry with at least 5 in a field-facing product management, product marketing, or other technical marketing role.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows and UNIX systems and architectures including database and application servers, SOA and messaging architectures.
  • Excellent and creative written and oral communication skills combined with an in-depth understanding of the enterprise software market
  • Entrepreneurial, start-up mentality; can handle a variety of duties, situations, people, challenges, and opportunities. Self-starter and independent operator with ability to drive both strategy and contribute with individual execution.
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience building sales tools to drive competitive wins. Established track record in building good relationships with sales personnel and helping them win deals.
  • Knowledge of enterprise sales process and customer buying behavior for software.
  • Passion for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Proven at presenting to customer executives and press/analysts.
  • Desire to build a new business; be an evangelist.
  • Analyze existing and potential distribution routes to various market segments and recommend successful strategies for maximizing revenues across the product portfolio.
  • Creative thinker with exceptional presentation, project management, organization and partnering/collaboration skills.
